Fishing is great at the moment

Although there are plenty of cormorants about at the moment there is also some great fishing to be had. The rivers are fishing well but you will need to look in different areas to find fish. The easiest areas for cormorants to catch fish in is the same areas that us fishermen and fisherwomen also like to catch fish in, so staying away from deep runs and and pools and focusing on areas that a cormorant would find it hard to catch fish in. Looking for areas like undercut banks and overhanging vegetation are great places to loo, looking in areas like little slack pockets behind rocks in shallow fast areas of the river will also find you fish. The fish are spooky from all the birds around so having a long, light leader will help with a confidant eat from the fish. Get out there and have a go there are some good sized fish around at the moment.
