The Asquith series is the culmination of global cooperation in design, materials, and manufacturing techniques. Built on Shimano’s (GLoomis owner) proprietary Spiral X platform, the Asquith boasts superb power transfer from tip to hand, quick recovery, and increased sensitivity.
Designed by world casting champion Steve Rajeff, the Asquith steps into the future of rod manufacturing technology. With fast actions, generous power levels, titanium guides, and exceptionally light swing weight, all rods in the series excel in fishing situations where developing high line speed and making precise casts means success.
The Asquith is thought by many to be the best fly rod ever made.
With credentials such as its designer has it is no wonder the Asquith is held in such high regard.
The 8 weight rates as the best 8 weight rod in the Yellowstone Angler shootout.

There is no one, nor will there probably ever be, another Steve Rajeff. Steve has won more Casting Titles than anyone.
We have #5, #6, and #8 in store and others on order.
When conditions call for long, delicate casts using extremely light leaders to help you fool spooky fish, the NRX LP rods are the answer. They are smooth casting, soft tapers for managing long, whisper-thin leaders and small to medium-sized dry flies. They track true for exceptional accuracy and control, plus they are light as a feather with beautiful lines, featuring select species cork. When the fish get finicky and the water gets low and clear you will have the answer... NRX LP!
That is what Yellowstone Anglers says -
"It’s hard to believe, but the NRX LP #5 steamrolled the competition once again to win our 2017 5-Weight Shootout. This is the fourth consecutive Shootout that this rod has won!
With all the great new 5-weight rods on hand, we were convinced that at least one would dislodge the LP from the throne but it wasn’t to be. There are several rods that cast as well if not better at long range, but nothing beats this rod at the short to medium distances, that we fish most of the time. The NRX LP scored perfect 20’s at both 25 and 45 feet. At 45 feet the only rod that performed as well for me was the Scott Radian, with the Hardy Zephrus, the Sage X, the Loomis Asquith, the Douglas Sky and the new T&T Avantt all close on Loomis’ and Scott’s heels.
We only carry the #5 in this rod, because it is the best.
