Black and Peacock Spider - wet fly x 6
A small almost nondescript fly that can imitate a beetle, frog or tadpole or many other underwater delight. This is a great fly for tailing trout around the edges of shallow lakes. The bonus with this fly is that it will not spook fish. It has no weight and you can land it close to a fish and just let it sink slowly. Cast to the side and a fish will often just mosey over and suck it down. When you see the white of its mouth open and - then close just give it a small strip. If the fish has not taken the fly it will still be in the water and may be chased and taken.
Size 14 only and barbless.
