If you are fishing for trophy trout Lake Crescent is Tasmania's go to lake. The fish bulk up on golden galaxiids. These flies imitate them. They are big, with solid black profile and super flexible with rabbit strips. All work really well, fish slowly and close to the shore. And by close to shore we mean within a metre. Tippet as heavy as 20lb can be used and sometimes it is needed.
